Well, Colleen Hoover has done it again! She has created an incredible, amazing, captivating 5 star story that captures you on the first page and holds you tight all the way through. Once I started Hopeless, I literally could not put it down. I laughed, I cried, I screamed, and I even think my heart stopped a few times. To be honest, I am having a hard time putting into words my feelings for Hopeless. It’s one of those rare stories that touches you deeply.
Much like Slammed and Point of Retreat, Hopeless is a story about life, love, loss, and revelations along the way that can change everything. But don’t get me wrong, Hopeless is so very different that Slammed and POR. I don’t want to say too much about the story itself because I believe that experiencing every tiny piece is what makes it phenomenal.
Sky is a 17 year old girl that has been somewhat sheltered. She meets Dean Holder, the typical bad boy. She is instantly intrigued by Holder and the feelings that he elicits in her. What she doesn’t expect is for her relationship with Holder to reveal truths that she didn’t know existed and wasn’t looking for.
I absolutely fell in love with Sky and Holder. I truly experienced all of their emotions right alongside them.
My feelings for Hopeless are not caught between like and love but instead far surpass love. Since I don’t have a word for that, I’ll go back to Slammed and POR and say, I butterflying loved it! It was so much more than I had anticipated and it had an effect on me that I wasn’t at all expecting. All I can say is read it, experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. My only advice is to start it in the morning when you know you will have uninterrupted time to finish it because you are not going to want to put this one down!
