Christian Davison’s life is complete. With a ring on Elizabeth’s finger and his daughter at his side, he’s ready to run headlong into their future.
Elizabeth Ayers never believed she would again find this kind of joy—the joy of a family and the wholeness found in the touch of the man she’s always loved.
Their love is intense and their passion only grows as they set out to rediscover each other.
But life is never easy.
Rocked by the unforeseen, Christian and Elizabeth will find themselves fighting for the one thing they hold most important—family.
Well, she’s done it again! A.L. Jackson has taken my heart, broken it into a million pieces and then put it back together better than it was before. I was hesitant to begin reading If Forever Comes, the sequel to Take This Regret, because I love Christian and Elizabeth so much that I wasn’t sure if I could handle their happily ever after from Take This Regret being rocked. But, I finally decided to give it a go and I am so glad that I did because A.L. Jackson’s writing is absolutely magnificent.
In this conclusion to Take This Regret, Christian and Elizabeth’s future seems bright. They have overcome their past and are ready to build a life together. But life throws them a curve ball that turns their happily ever after upside down. They each try hard to work through this tragedy and keep their family in tact. But, this is more difficult than they expected.
Even with Christian’s past, I have long ago forgiven him and fallen madly in love with him. If Forever Comes solidified this love for Christian. His dedication to his family and his love for Elizabeth was crystal clear. I wanted so badly to make everything right for him.
Elizabeth’s way of dealing with the tragedy that rocked their world was heartbreaking. As a woman, I could relate with her on so many levels. But at the same time, there were a few instances in which I wanted to shake her and tell her that she was about to lose everything.
Once again A.L. Jackson rocked my world. Her writing always has a way of sucking me in and not letting go. Her stories stay with me for days after ending them. If Forever Comes was no different for me. I was completely captivated from the beginning and found myself several times clutching my iPad with tears streaming down my face. I absolutely recommend this conclusion to Christian and Elizabeth’s story.
