After such chaos, maintaining a life free of complications is a priority for her.
Everything changed when a man with amber eyes came through her door and claimed her heart. She fell hard in more ways than one. The pull between Jo and Damon seemed like fate bringing things full circle.
With another devastating loss looming, Jo fights to hold on to the very thing that brought her to her knees. She finds herself torn between a promising future and clinging to a devastating past.
But that’s not the most worrisome problem on her hands.
She must convince more than just herself to let the past stay in the past, where it belongs, but on her journey to find closure and resolution, she does the exact opposite. An old wound caused by a heinous act becomes exposed for what it is. The truth is catastrophic and Jo is helpless, watching as the ruins of her fragile world endure more turmoil.
Can something conceived from tragedy and malice end well? Can something so completely poisoned conquer adversity? Jo is left to make a decision; accept the circumstances she finds herself in or fight with unwavering ferocity to restore what has been damaged.
*Restore Me is the second book in the Wrecked series*
I don’t really know where to start. There is so much that could be said about Restore Me, but I don’t think I can say any of it for fear that I might ruin some part of it for you. Let me begin by saying that I fell in love with J.L. Mac’s writing after reading Wreck Me. It absolutely sucked me in, and I was unable to put it down. It was such a whirlwind love affair that was full of surprises. And the biggest surprise of them all was the huge cliffhanger ending. The second I finished it, I began scouting the release of Restore Me. And Restore Me was just as captivating for me and was ultimately a 4 star read for me.
Jo is such a strong woman. She has already dealt with so much in her life. But her struggles are far from over. After learning of Damon’s secret in Wreck Me, Jo is left with many questions about their relationship. And then the ending of Wreck Me happened and Jo’s life was turned upside down. Now, she is left to deal with the fallout of it all. She handles herself with such strength and compassion. I found myself wondering if I could have done the same, given the situation. I loved seeing the development of her character and how her strength transformed and matured.
Once again, my love for this series and the way that everything unravels won’t allow me to ruin any part of it by divulging too much. Therefore, this will probably be the shortest review that I have written. I’ll just say that if you enjoyed Wreck Me, then you definitely need to read Restore Me. It carried the same passion that had me addicted in the first book. I would have liked to have seen more. But, ultimately, I absolutely enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it!
